Yes.

Because I'm here.
lols. Party?

Anyway, I don't think I can have much of an opinion on this forum since I joined this month, but, I think I should tell my thoughts from a Member perspective, and not an Admin perspective.

Though this has said by Zero, exams must be playing a role as to why members may not come on. I know I have Mid-terms myself next week, and studying is vital for those. Darn 20% of my grade.

It also might be time zones, since, there's probably some people from America around here. Such as myself.

Well, it also may be too much staff. Now, I'm not saying there are too many staff members, it's just that new members tend to run away if there's too many people on the Admin / Moderator list. Take it from a fox who comes from a site with four Admins and three Global Moderators. And two Lite Moderators, lols.

Those are usually the three main issues when it comes to a foruim. If you can avoid that, you're golden. Anyway, to get activity, why not add some topics? Or maybe re-create a popular one? If members really liked it, they might be considerig to talk about it again.

Or, you could add a new board, with completely different subjects. Maybe a section for talk for other Anime or Literature? I dunno. I'm just throwing ideas out there
Try this, you might like it.

Yes and sorta ^^; I personally don't mind this as while the Non-Dragonball sections are seeing a lot of activity this is, as people have already said, it does increase the community here which in my opinion is definitely a positive.

However as this is a DBZ forum I would like to see the activity increasing in there, though I personally am struggling a bit to think of what else is there to discuss ^^; For that I think we need new members with new opinions.

Overall though I am pleased with how the forum is evolving as while people may come here originally for the DBZ it the community that they will stay for.

Am I allowed to vote and say why?
NO ABSOLUTELY NOT NEVER NO WAY STFU GO AWAY

Of course Mitas. Why wouldn't you be allowed?
Cool. I didn't think I could because you said staff and parliament and I on't think I'm either lol

Anyway, I think the forum is in a transition stage at the moment. There are a lot of changes going on with parliament and how the forum is ran and events and the such. I personally feel that this sort of alienates the members that haven't been active of late, making it harder for them to get back into the 'forums groove' if you know what I mean. Then there's also those that aren't members of parliament also being alienated (in my opinion) because it's almost as if they have no say in things.

There's also a low activity with everyone having exams, essays and the such. But I also think that there's a lack of activity with a lot of the Elite members too. Everyone will have their reasons, but it's sort of a catch 22 situation. People not being here makes activity low and low activity makes it harder for them to come back.

I thought the DB/Z/GT sections were quite active. There are always a lot of topic fromt here on the Active Topics section (I take part when I can but I'm not as into DBZ as I was when I first joined) and we are getting a couple new members every wekk who discuss it for a bit and then leave, and are then replaced by others. And we also have the members that stay for a longer period who keep it active.

Good points. And I meant we need you to talk so that staff and parliament can consider your thoughts.

Thank you for mentioning something about this. I think it's important to incorporate all members in certain decisions on the forum so that you don't feel left out. I just joined the parliament, so this is something I will definitely keep in mind for future decision making. Members should feel like they can offer their ideas and suggestions as well.

I think DBZF is starting to move in the right direction. I like that we've started a news letter and people are working on making the GFX section more active. I know we are in a low activity period, but we can't always expect loads of activity. Most of the members have some sort of school, work, family, etc going on.

Bouncefox, under talk about anything->entertainment->books you could definitely start a literature and/or manga if you like. If it does well then maybe could consider expanding it to a sub forum/section. Here's a link: http://dbzf.co.uk/forum/3001126/

Ah my bad.

But yeah I agree with nomnom that there needs to be more work put in to include non-parliament members in the running of the forum rather than just voting in the party they want elected. Otherwise a gap begins to form between members in parliament and members not in prliament, and one of the most appealing factors in this forum is the feeling of 'togethernss' and it's ability to include eveyone.

I like to think i contribute a lot to the DBZ topics and will for a long time. I get very excited when new members join who are as DBZ crazy as me. But i really don't think i would have stuck around if i didn't like the way this forum is going or the members who use it. So yeah i think the forum is heading in the right direction and i'm very happy here. Even addicted  lol

DBZ is on a straight road like it's always been. Of course activity would be low... or slower than "back in the day"... DBZF is still going strong though ^_^

The forum is heading in the right direction. We have all the necessary tools to being a successful forum. We have dragonball discussion area, anime, and a miscellaneous area too. The forum has been moving a bit slow lately, but I think it's because people are busy with exams and school. I'm sure once exams are over we will see more activity. However, the gfx area is really slow. HustLa and I are trying to get new members to join for the GFX section so that we can gain more activity there.

Wut???

I always liked this forum, Despite my lack of activity i always consider this place, as a friendly, warm atmosphere. More like a place for some R'n'R. But i think it is doing a good job for direction, Not only is it quite old (i'd imagine) its done good for its age and not many forums can boast about such an achievment. For it's a winner and keeper for the forsee-able future...
